Camp Merveilles Hawaii is five day conference retreat that brings together artists form Guinea, West Africa and Hawaii to share the rich music and dance of their cultures. The conference will be held November 1 – 5, 2019. Each day features 4 dance classes, 4 percussion classes, and morning yoga. Fabulous meals will be provided incorporating fresh, organic, fruits and vegetables from local farmers, local grass-fed beef and of course fresh island fish. Nightly activities and opportunities to enjoy community in an Aloha setting are absolutely priceless. Camp Merveilles Hawaii is an opportunity to experience the richness of both West African and Hawaiian cultures in the incredibly magical setting of the old Hawaii in North Kohala.

Hawaiian Hula with Big Island Kumu’s Hope Keawe and Leia Lawrence. Daily Yoga with Big Island’s Jamie Eversweet Belmarez, Noah Giltner and Alexandra Kazimir. Salsa with Michál Anna Carrillo.
DROP IN CLASSES AVAILABLE:
$20 and Kama’aina $15/class Hula and Yoga classes
$25 and Kama’aina $20/class West African Dance or Drum with live musicians
Smaller size Djembe Drum rentals available: $5 per class, $15 per day or $55 full conference.
